Once more, the cream of the SMA membership (most take a double) took to the water for the 2011 summer excursion, floating about on Lake Windermere in something resembling a Parisian river boat. It is reported that our gallant team drank the boat dry before the first port, which was not at great distance. The bar was swiftly replenished, however, and festivities continued.
Don't miss Stu's exciting report on who was there and who did what. By all accounts the day was another winner for the SMA, even if the operators of the cruise vessel were somewhat flummoxed, bamboozled and generally caught short by the thirst of Jolly Jack.
This last pic is of Stu's sister Pauline and her husband Bill Foskett. Although decorated in the Swire flag for the occasion, Bill has other decorations to be proud of. Look him up under www.214squadron.org.uk. Click on 'Personnel' - that's him full centre - and then 'F' to read more.
