" SOFA, so good "

The Tower of London, June 2002

Geoff always was the white man ... 'Lock ME up in the Tower? You're joking, aren't you?' 'Bet you his Instamatic can't handle THIS blouse ...' 'You'd think they'd have a 'Gents' AND a 'Ladies', wouldn't you?' 'I look younger if I brush it forward, you see.' 'Hah! YOU buy a round! You MUST be joking!' After one of Graeme's jokes ... A gaggle of giggling gals 'Now put the flaming thing away or I'll give you a kiss!'

As usual, we have one insipid picture of the event itself and four hundred snaps of our worthy crew in the Mess. We hope that you can pick out a friend or two in this selection. As they do in 'The Tatler', we proudly list those attending (those who weren't locked up, that is) for all you celebrity spotters:

Mr. Julian Thorogood, Mrs. Chris Nugent, Mr. & Mrs. John Rushton, Mr. & Mrs. John Kelly, Mr. & Mrs. Dudley Groves, Mr. Graeme Drewery, Mr. Stuart Shields, Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Burbidge, Mr. & Mrs. William Jeffrey, Mr. & Mrs. Geoffrey Havilland, Mr. & Mrs. Brian owen, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Walford, Mr. & Mrs. Ian Goddard and Ms. Eleanor Goddard, Mr. Richard Broadbent, Mr. Keith Bayford, Mr. & Mrs. Trevor Kay-Russell, Mr. & Mrs. Norman Adams, Mr. Barry Thompson, Mr. Michael Jacobsen and Ms. Kay Javeri. Mr. & Mrs. Dave Porter and Mr. Peter Booker paid their dues but failed to show up - they were probably in Cannes.
