The SMA Mug

Pictured below is the brand new SMA coffee mug, available for purchase by SMA members.

Artwork is by Matthew Shields, son of Sec Shields. Matt has done a splendid job of creating something bright and cheerful from which to drink your morning hangover cure.

Distribution of the mugs is at cost, with no profit to the SMA (eh? get a life, Stu..) at seven quid each plus postal charges. Now the bad news... postal charges are £1.85 for one mug, £2.70 for two mugs, £4.41 for four mugs and £7.06 for six mugs. These charges are for mugs delivered within the UK. What do they take us for? Mugs?

Furthermore, overseas postal rates are about as friendly as an epileptic elephant with diarrhea, unfortunately. For instance: for two mugs to Canada, the post office want £9.96; one to Japan costs £5.31; to send one to Australia, you'll need to front up with £5.31 and for four, the gallant P.O. will shave the cost to £18.42. What a bargain!

May be cheaper to talk to CNCo about shipping a container load...

All the more reason why intending mug purchasers and mug fanciers should take it upon themselves to fly to meet their mug. Join the SMA annual gathering, and have your mug delivered for free into your grubby little mitts! Fill it with finest ale, and sup heartily!

Anyway, if you'd like one or two of these fine creations, be in touch with Stu here. Madness not to...

STOP PRESS! THE SM'UG COLLECTORS' EDITION

For only twelve monthly installments of £48 quid, you and your grandchildren can cherish this limited edition, personalised connoisseurs' mug from the renowned "Ugly Mug" collection. Every pimple and blemish is faithfully rendered. Beautifully finished in dishwasher-safe ceramic Shiteastic, you can drink from it, dunk it, wee in it if desperate when driving and even put it on your mantelpiece to frighten away unwelcome visitors. Act now. This offer cannot last. Surely?

Editor's note: Don't take us too seriously, folks. Whereas the SMA Mug is the real thing, and available to all coffee-chugging members for the bargain price of seven nicker as stated, the "Ugly Mug" is but a figment of our imagination. Or should that be pigment. Anyway, it's too horrible to consider, don't worry. Don't they have laws against that?
